Doing my nightly Micro Center checks. Funny. The same day the 6800 and 6800XT comes out, MC Chicago miraculously has limited supply of 3090s and 3080s.

Last time anything was in stock was the 5th and was 3090s, and I cant tell you last time 3080s were shown in stock.

A small part of me wants to see if I can get in on one of those 3080s and pull a dickhead, I mean capitalist, move and flip it for 2X, keep it for my PC that Ill be able to use one day, or sell to syP syP for $500+ his 3070. :rofl:

They’re going to have so few 6800s that who ever is there that waited in line the last 2 days will surely snatch up the 3080/3090s.

if you guys are truly looking search Falcodrin on Twitch for 3070/80/90 stock check bot, or YouTube for 5600/5800/5900/5950 and now 6800/6800xt stock check bots. I was able to get my 3080 and 5800x by just having those running in the background.

Not a chance. Im in the EVGA step up program for my 3070, and im on their master queue for people who clicked the notify me button. Either way im getting 2x 3080s... it just depends who i sell the other one to.

Not sure where else to ask since I didn't think it warranted it's own thread.

I just bought a GoPro Hero 9 Black. It's friggen awesome, but my free Toshiba laptop is wayyyy too slow and wimpy to play and edit 4k videos. I wasn't even able to see what I made until I got to work this morning. Any suggestions for a good video editing computer? I miss my old Think Pad, but even it struggled a lot with Filmora. I'm open to getting a desktop.

Any laptop or desktop with a AMD ryzen 5 or intel i5 with either a Nvidia 20xx series or 30xx series GPU or the newer AMD gpus.

8gb of ram minimum.

a gaming laptop in the 900-1200 range will due what you want easily.

This is by no means a complete list. It’s just the ‘gaming laptops’ category at micro center.

CPU= Ryzen 48xx series, or intel i7 9750h, i7 10750h
GPU = Nvidia RTX2060, the 2070 and 2080 are better but at a significant cost increase.

A last generation cpu like an i7-9750h is okay, only a tick slower than the new gen 10750h.

But for video encoding you want an Nvidia rtx20xx series gpu. The hardware video encoding is extremely fast.
