Yeah, if there is another price drop I'll probably end up with a Ryzen 3900x. Right now I'm teetering on the board for a 3700x as it would just about halve the time it takes to transcode video and would provide a good bump in most games.Yup. Zen 3 is going to be my next upgrade. I know that’s the end of the AM4 socket and it’s still not DDR5 but that’s basically what I did with this 4790k, end of socket 1150/DDR3 and I’ve gotten this much life out of it.
My nerds, Does anyone know where I can sell or how Much I can get for my geforce rtx 2080 ti? Thinking about upgrading to the 3000 series this fall.
Also what would be a good price to ask for it?
Brand and model? I could be interested pending price
I know that 4k has more pixels and such. But the ultra wides are actually more usable because we don't really work vertically, we work horizontally.View attachment 63606
My LG 27" 4k monitor started having a seizure the other day, so last night I picked up an alienware 34" curved ultra wide. This is my first high refresh gsync monitor, and it's glorious
Depends on the game. Some very old games might have issues with the resolution and have to be run boxed with black bars on the left/right.Question. I’ve toyed with wanting an ultra wide. Does a game take up the entire screen? If you put the game into windowed mode is there enough real estate to have a browser or something next to it?
Ultra wide makes a lot of sense but I dabble with the streaming life sometimes and I like having OBS on the second screen.
I looked into ultrawides, 3 monitor set ups, and ultrawide with a second smaller monitor. Didn't want to spend the big bucks and those two which were pretty much brand new, cost me $100. Maybe on my next upgrade.I had duals before. But once you live the Ultra-wide life, you never go back.

I don't even know if we are coming close to using the bandwidth of PCIe 4.0 right now. Graphics cards usually don't even come close to using a full 16x PCIe 3.1 lane. This is why I'm even hesitant to do Zen 3. No DDR5, new PSU standard coming out, PCIe 5.0 being teased.
