fuck is that
It's something you boot into and run that checks your memory for defects. If you're running shared GFX memory I'm just thinking it may be related to that. Hangs are weird animals.

Could also be shittastic drivers. Maybe it updated?

Ah, nice. yeah that was definitely another thought I had, since this does use an amd vega 8 chipset for onboard graphics, along with the GTX 1650 tandem. But yeah, I've double and triple checked that all the drivers are up to date

Still no issues tonight!!

I'm just waiting :ROFLMAO:

Your superstition with this is exactly why I don't look at any new(er) trucks. I know the moment I go to see what else is out there, in the event I do have to replace the truck, that something really expensive on my truck will break. I haven't looked at trucks for myself since my warranty ran out in 2010.

At work today figured out that the reason I couldn't connect to our DFS to manage it was that our AD replication was fucked up and we had some dead domain controllers in AD sites and computers. I probably need to finish purging that, but I ended up shooting a domain controller that was acting like it got hit in the head. I'm not sure if DFS will stabilize out afterwards or if it's still massively fucked though. I am going to end up having to go through, reverse engineer the namespaces, move shit around and go from there.

Got a couple Intel NUCs and an AIO celeron kiosk PC for free.

Also got a couple cicso Meraki switches but then found out they are subscription only which is fucking dumb. Good hardware becomes paperweight garbage.
Maybe see if there is a way to flash something else to it?

Also can you make sense of this? Looks cool for cars but is it just basically an OBD2 scanner for Linux?

Can't, chipset doesn't support openWRT.

They are unclaimed so I could resell, but will probably just drop them back at the site and let them deal with it.

Open source OBD scanner. Looks like someone spent the time to upgrade it and rewrite the code in python3.

As an owner of a Odyssey G9 49" that runs 5120x1440, I can tell you that comes already struggle to support 32:9 resolutions, and honestly, my 49" is plenty immersive, what I would love is if it were an OLED panel to get benefit from the unlimited contrast. The 49" OLED panel is the better offering.

Ahh, metadata cleanup, I've been through it, its a pain.

I still remember the very first lesson I learned about DC's, and its stuck with me for years.

NEVER, EVER name a new DC the same as an OLD DC. That way lies nothing but pain as you try to manage DNS issues that crop up from it. Always use a new name for a new DC. Even if you gracefully demoted the old DC, the DNS cleanup is just not worth it.

And if you have any dev's who have hardcoded DNS names in their apps? Threaten to shoot them between the eyes if they do not fix that shit right away.

Get a steel straight edge against it. Looks warped.
Welp, NZXT is replacing my Kraken X53 AIO with a new Kraken-240 AIO, still trying to find out what failed on the old one. Personally, based off the pictures of the cold plate, I'm wondering if it somehow warped based on the CPU outline in the copper.
So, got the reason for the failure. The coolant had a bunch of internal corrosion/gunk which reduced flow through the cold plate or radiator.

Which is annoying as its a fully sealed system that its not even 3 years old.

Was using the laptop all last week, and most nights I was only getting maybe 1 freeze up on the screen a night all night, but there was also one night where it just wouldn't stop freezing, so really, nothing was better :ROFLMAO: And as such, said fuck it and went ahead and purchased a new screen, AND a new cable since the screen didn't come w/ one just to be on the safe side.

Screen detached

Removed from the frame. Says PANDA for some reason

Laid the new cable out next to the old one to 1. make sure I bought the right one :ROFLMAO: and also study how its ran, since you also have to run a cable up to the camera at the top

Did a quick check BEFORE i secured the screen and got everything back together, and, it worked!! Whether my problem is actually solved or not I consider that a huge win :ROFLMAO:

So now we wait. Will run the laptop tonight and see whats what. So far so good, but I haven't even had it on for an hour yet. And it could just be a placebo effect, but this new screen actually looks a bit sharper than my old one.

Lets see what happens now!! Very likely, the next post I make will be .................."FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!"
