Good job majority of voters. Van is in fact heavier. Which, I expected it to be similar or maybe slightly heavier... What I didn't expect was just how much heavier it is.

Van= 6540lbs
Truck = 5820lbs

Van somehow has 720lbs over the truck.

Truck was weighed with bed cover, bedrug, hitches, tie downs, tools, etc, all the things i normally keep in it. I can't remember how much fuel.

Van was almost full of fuel, had my 12v fridge in it, my ~10lb babay, 14lb dog, and a stroller.... really not much "gear"

im also surprised the van's rear axle has more weight on it than the front.

really makes me want to get a trutrac for the van and send it through the winter.

Yea coil spring, damn auto correct. Leafs make it easier and probably more plentiful. I bet spring pad width are the same.

i wonder if i could just measure this silverado i have at work and my van and compare.

the thing that im curious about is there seems to be a difference with vans that have "active brake control"- option JL4- which i think is stabilitrack maybe?

but car-part.com asks if it has that when you're going through to find axles....also surprising is very few axles on car-part.com
