soooooo not a good place to work?

the hours are awful but flexible, the work isnt super hard, the co-workers are meh. the pay is meh. the location is super nice, its across the street from countryside. the service managers are easy to get along with. i worked there for a year and a half. its overall tolerable.

What kind of experience/certification are they looking for?

the general service technician position is entry level. So 1 year or slightly less for automotive experience will do.

the service adviser position has similar requirements but sales experience is preferred.

$7.75/hr + commission

2.5% on parts/labor
2.0% on (most) tires
3.0% on alignments
3.5% on fluid flushes

based on our naperville store (high volume)

If you are shitty you will average ~$13/hr, decent $15/hr, if you are really good you can average $17-22/hr

Vacation/PTO benefits are very good (1 week after 1 year, 18 days after 2 years, 25 days after 3+, 5 weeks after 10+, 6 weeks after 15+), health insurance kinda sucks, can move up easily and they are very flexible with scheduling as well.

Its a good stepping stone to get your foot in the door at a dealer.
