So I know this show was mentioned a few times in the watching thread...figured I'd start it tonight and make a thread for it.

Just started episode 1 and my first takeaway is the fact that is uses more current music for its soundtrack...doesnt fit the time and scenes at all, but I like it.

Second thing I've noticed is the audio is being put out in 2.0 rather than 5.1...the fuck netflix?

Will report back after I finish a few eps.

I finished both seasons a few months back. It started out slow but by the 3rd episode I was all in. Looking forward to season 3. Soundtrack is pretty good throughout. I think you'll like it too.

I'm digging the soundtrack for sure...it just caught me off guard with how out of place it was. I'm only like 20 minutes in but the acting is phenomenal.

The theme song was in dumb and dumber lol.

It's a good show, c Murphy is a very competent actor and Tom hardy joins in the second season. Netflix "tv shows" are infinitely better than network shit.

I loved the modernized soundtrack. Sets this show apart from other shows that use more period correct music

He's the Irish version of Costner. Not impressed. Atall.
Do you even know who Sam Neill is?

Not even sure where the comparison to Costner came from.

Whenever I think of Costner I think notalentassclown thanks to a high school buddy's older brother. Sam Neil was great in one movie off the top of my head, event horizon (not many people I know like that movie). Beyond that I picture him as the dumbfounded archeologist from Jurassic Park.

Give me Bill Nighy in his role and watch the show get even better. :nice:

Starts off slow, like everyone said. Season 2 is way better as well.
