Oh f*ck, it’s Peacemaker! HBO Max is set to explore the origins of the Peacemaker character, the master of weapons from the highly anticipated upcoming The Suicide Squad film, in the new Max Original action-adventure-comedy series Peacemaker. HBO Max has given a straight-to-series order of eight episodes for the first season of the show. John Cena will reprise his role from The Suicide Squad movie to star in the series, and the film’s acclaimed writer/director James Gunn will write all eight episodes of Peacemaker and will direct multiple episodes, including the first. Gunn and The Suicide Squad producer Peter Safran will serve as executive producers of the series, with Cena as co-executive producer. Based on characters from DC, Peacemaker will be produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television. Peacemaker is scheduled to begin production in early 2021, prior to Gunn beginning work on the next Guardians of the Galaxy film.

While details about Peacemaker are being kept under wraps, the series will explore the origins of the character that Cena will play in the upcoming film, a man who believes in peace at any cost — no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The series will extend the world that Gunn is creating for The Suicide Squad movie, which is scheduled to be released in theaters by Warner Bros. Pictures on August 6, 2021.

Not going to be in a rush to see it, but imagine I’ll be bored enough one day to give it a watch.

Assuming it’ll be meh though.

"Peacemaker" is tough. On the one hand, it's a hilarious '80s-tinged romp about some incredibly charismatic morons and their team of handlers, but on the other it's about deeply damaged human beings working through their trauma in very bloody ways. It is the most mature and immature superhero series in existence, all at the same time. This one is going to be divisive, but I'm a huge fan. The soundtrack is killer (as always with Gunn), the performances are great, the fight scenes have serious impact, and the back half made me cry like a kid with a skinned knee.

Seent episode one. It’s actually funny, weird cool, and shows a lot of Cena’s butt. Will watch. Well, not Cena’s butt…you know what I mean. My kinda raunchy humor.

He has deflated a little but he is still a beast. He actually makes fun of his own physique and brags about his weiner.

I watched all 3. Kept getting better. Prepare yourself because it is really over the top and Cena has no problem acting the fool...lol. I found the sound track distracting at some points.
Plus there are boobies....

Watched all 3 episodes in one sitting.

Slow start, but got better each episode.

Definitely not going to be for everyone, but I like it.
