I'm not mad. That's very fair, and not what I expected. I called a wheel guy in Lake Barrington and they said they will not partially repair wheels. Just under $200 to repair and refinish each wheel. They would look new. So I guess he made some calls or understands my frustration with a partial repair on the two damaged wheels.
Crown Customs in EGV 125 a wheel TCG price. I have usd them to restore bmw wheels very happy

Well, the latest issue...

Every time it rains hard or I go through a carwash I get an airbag light and "passenger restraint system malfunction". It takes a few days of drying out and clearing out the codes with my scanner before it goes away until the next time it gets wet again. Sounds similar to the issue I had when I bought the car and the European mechanic replaced an airbag crash sensor behind the front bumper I think. He kept telling me it was a driver-side sensor even though the error said, passenger. Maybe they didn't fix it correctly or I have an issue with the passenger crash sensor now. OR it's something different like the passenger occupancy seat mat. Wonder if go back to the euro specialist since he had the light gone for almost a year. Or I try a body shop. I think the dealer would say I need a $1000 seat occupancy mat right off the bat and it may or may not fix the issue. Ron Vogel Ron Vogel have you experienced anything like this?

Where are you at?

Those front bumper crash sensors are common. Unless you’re getting water into the cabin, the OC3 Mat shouldn’t be an issue.

I said I wouldn't mind a newer 5 series with more options. This seems like a good value. It's auto but I wonder if they actually get 29mpg on the highway with the 8 speed.

I think they're actually pretty close to that, at optimal speeds. 27ish would be more of the true range, as no one stays out of boost driving this thing.

Looks like that's not unreasonable. Have to click through a few of the ones listed to see what the city/highway ratio is though.

It just caught my eye because it's $20K+ less than the 18/19s I've seen outside Motorworks when I drive by. Maybe because it's likely out of warranty.
