I KNOW this has been asked already, but what would you recommend for painting aluminum rims?

my 4X4 ranger's front rims are fairly horrid due to years of brake neglect, so I was thinking about painting the inside of them black, and re-doing the face silver for all 4 ...

How bad does silver come out on DIY jobs like this? What brand of paints have you had success with, and what did you use to prep them?

IIRC, when I painted the rims on my Camaro, I just used cheap rattle can gloss black... dont think I used anything special. You would have to scuff the rims with sandpaper for the paint to stick to it.

Can I just use one of those wire 'brush' attachments for my drill for the same effect?
