I was bored and needed to work off a nasty hangover so I painted two of my rims black this morning. New winter tires will be going on after the first snowfall, so I just sprayed the tire and everything. Nothing special, just some gloss black spray paint and a good scuffing beforehand.

I'll post pics when they go on the car.

Let me know if the pics are too big and I"ll cut them down ...

might wanna take that wheel weight off and paint under it if your getting new tires, theres gunna be a silver spot there when they re-balance

Thanks. No biggie, though, I'll just respray it before they go on the car. I really don't give a damn what happens to these rims, the paint is gonna scratch easily and most likely will look like shit by the end of the winter. All I have into the rims are a $4 can of spray paint and an hour and a half of my time. :D

Advanced auto parts Tire Clean

how well does it work?
Not too bad. I got fed up with tire shine so I just picked up some tire cleaner and it gets the job done. Nothing spectacular.

Amen to that. Went through three winters (two of them in Michigan) on those tires and they got scary real fast. Looking forward for some good winter tires, but still have to do some research on which ones I want. Any suggestions?
