So I'm guessing its the timing chain. Everything else looks good. I was told today that to fix it the front of the motor has to be taking apart. I can not believe what they quoted me. I almost died. I found a kit to use for the repair. According to the Cadillac Owners Fourm its the normal kit for this. Does anyone know a local place that would do the timing chain?

give me your vin number and miles... certain CTS's have an extended warranty on this job since its a super common failure.

There's lots of DIY instructions and vids online of how to replace it. BUT still seems like a ton of work. Good luck.

Those 3.6's are garbage.
