So with the new level of power I am anticipating the need to change direction on wheels and tires.

I really love the ZR1 wheels. They are oem and in mint condition. I just got new tires in the back but they are not drag radials. They just are not going to handle the power. Not interested in just sitting there spinning.

Came across these for sale on the Corvette forum. Guy is in Elgin. Have been texting him and he seems very cool. Sold his car and the buyer wanted the original wheels.

I think they would really look sharp on my car and be extremely functional at the same time.

What do you guys think. Maybe keep the ZR1 wheels but selling them would sure help replace the $$ it will take to get the Welds. Any issues driving to work and back or going on cruises with Weld wheels?

Thanks in advance guys!!

For me, your current rims are too "bright" for the car. I'm not huge on bright shiny chrome. But I'm mega particular about appearance stuff.

Welds look great but are played out...but...they looks great.

Dont welds have some issues with street driving? Didnt Eagle break his? Or am I thinking of something else?

Put drag radials on the stockers. I'm gonna buy another set or forgestars for the rear in 19 come spring

I really thought about getting a set of the replica chrome ZR1 wheels in 19x12 but I am very afraid the OEM chrome and the China chrome are not the same and I will be able to tell.

The Welds look so much more “tough” but they are kinda played out I guess.

Not sure how well a 20” drag radial will do. Guess I could research more on the success people are having with those.

I am a huge fan of the zr1 wheels, but not a chrome fan. From a functional standpoint I would stick with what you have. From a performance dragstrip standpoint I would go with the Welds.

What is this car going to be primarily used for? How wide are the front Weld wheels?

Might hit the track once a year. Absolutely intend on it being a street car.
