I had all the shifters for the T56, MGW is the ticket. Don't forget Cobra Bob's shifter gasket

I ran the stock shifter with a Steeda shifter handle with my T-56 in my old 2v. And a few members on her can vouch for my shifting with that set up. I never missed a gear and you'd think I was powershifting when I was speed shifting. It worked awesome for me. But to each his own. I just dont see the reason to drop the money on the MGW when the stock shifter is fine with a shorter handle.

When I first installed my MGW, the return spring for the 1st gear side didn't work right. I talked to the company and they sent new return springs. That didn't help so they sent a replacement shifter. Good customer service and good shifter.

I'm with these guys. The smoothness of a stock shifter is SO much better for powershifting.

I've had both the Tri-Ax and the MGW on my Cobra.

The Tri-Ax has a good feel, but it's VERY noisy.

The MGW feels even better and it's quiet. Also, you can tell a lot more thought went into the design of the MGW by the way it fits.
