I told juan 2ish years ago I could get him a gig in one of the mills. Sell FIP mcmansion, buy a house somewhere rural-ish nwi where prices are a bit high but taxes are low, make more money with better bennies and way better job security.

But then he'd have to have his kids in Indiana schools.

While I appreciated the offer, there is a lot to unpack financially which is why I couldn’t sell my house at the time. I didn’t qualify for shit. If I would have sold I would have to live in an apartment. Now I can sell my house and qualify for another mortgage.

I mean, to each his own, but with solid equity in your place you'd have pocketed a lot of cash. Either rent for a year then buy, or buy a cheap place with big dollars down. Eventually buy a bigger place and rent old place out.

I legit regret not buying a rental prop when rates were low, was too focused on the damn house. Spending on the "wants" rather than investing...dumb.

You could have pocketed your equity and invested it meanwhile and rented a house and see if u really wanted to stay in Indiana. U could have told people u bought the house I know u worry about the appearance.

Just dropped the whole weight of the pool table and my fat ass directly on my left pointer, middle, and ring fingers because I slipped trying to lift it up.

It's nice having older neighbors who keep to themselves but realizing having older neighbors sucks for trying to do anything that requires two able bodied men to move something that weighs 300lbs.

Normal day 12hrs in those 14hr days?
I normally only work 12’s unless it’s some sort of emergency, I’m sort of a specialist in my area so I get called out first when there’s problems and asked to come in early or stay over but I rarely have to do that only a hand full of times a year and it’s normally double time for over 12 hours

Sometimes da wife and I think about how we survived these past years without claiming bankruptcy, but here we are. Still have a shitload of equity in house and climbing thanks to the $500k cookie cutters being built in the next subdvision, credit still good and can sign and drive a 10 year loan on a Demon, and most importantly my daughter will graduate from a great school system. Once she graduates we will be selling this house. Until then gonna make vroom vroom noises with my man snowblower in the driveway.

Can’t find the student debt thread but looks like Sweet vs Cardona (originally Devos) has finally been pushed through. My couple grand in debt is gone and getting a check back from Nelnet.

Found out my cousin had the same forgiveness and they’re forgiving 80 fucking grand of her debt.
