Part timer I havent used since 2021 emails me last night at like midnight looking for a W2 for 2022. I figured before I called him, I would double check our payroll portal to make sure he didnt work a few days in 2022, and he hadnt. Just got off the phone with him and he is swearing up and down he worked with us at least 10-12 days in 2022. Then said he is turning us in for not having his W2 to him by Jan 31st. I kept my cool which was hard, but I have to keep it professional in case he is recording me. I just said, "hey Neil you might want to check the facts on that buddy, they need to be postmarked by 1/31, not in your hands by 1/31".
He replied, "fuck you and you will be hearing from my lawyer" then hung up lol.
