Microsoft has sweetened the deal with an alluring price it previously offered for other Xbox Live and Game Pass services: A $1 introductory subscription. New subscribers can enjoy one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just one buck.

What if you’re already subscribed to either Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live? Microsoft will credit your existing months of subscription for both. If you have three months of Xbox Game Pass, and three months of Xbox Live, you’ll be credited six months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate when you make the upgrade. There’s limit of 36 months on this credit.

While Xbox Game Pass Ultimate targets gamers with an Xbox console, Microsoft has recently broadened its ambitions to PC games. The Xbox Game Pass previously offered some cross-play titles available on PC, but many games weren’t accessible on PC. To clarify that, and make Game Pass more appealing on PC, a new Xbox Game Pass PC — announced earlier this year — has been released.

Starting today, Xbox Insiders in Preview Beta can join and test Xbox Game Pass Ultimate before it launches later this year in current Xbox Game Pass markets.

NOTE: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is currently available to English speaking Xbox Insiders in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia in Preview Alpha, Preview Alpha – Skip Ahead, or Preview Beta.

When upgrading to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the remaining time on your Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time at a 1 to 1 ratio each based on days remaining, up to a maximum of 36 months. For example, if you have 12 months of Xbox Live Gold time remaining, and 12 months of Xbox Game Pass time remaining, this will be converted to 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate when you upgrade.

We are currently validating the functionality to apply additional Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold tokens towards your existing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. As this functionality is still being tested, for a limited time you will be unable to redeem Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold tokens after upgrading. For this reason, we recommend redeeming any Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold tokens prior to upgrading to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Yeah but your Xbox live membership just went from $40-45/yr (which you can easily find online) and game pass for $75-80/yr so $120ish/yr for both... Up to $180/yr with ultimate.

They get you with that $1 join. Although if you have some banked, the free period is probably worth it since live/game pass stacks to extend ultimate pass.

Yeah, that's what I mean. The $15/month is terrible. I'm talking about the $1. I got 2 years of game pass and 8+ months of live for the $1.

So it feels like to me there are no good car games out there. I feel the last good driving game was driver San Francisco, of course minus the stupid spawning thing. But it had licensed cars, that drove really great... Anything that I've experienced has sucked dick

Anybody got a line on any 12 month Gold deals? Apparently my gold subscription is up this sunday and I need to renew. My usual go to is CD Keys but looks like they're at $53.69 right now. Not a HUGE discount. Never fails that after I renew, a big deal pops up 2 days later

So I don't know how this can't be a mistake that they'll actually honor, but this has been live for hours now, so ?‍ 0.05 cents a day for xbox ultimate? Thats like 18 bucks a year I switched over, so we'll see what happens, tho, I still have until 11/12/2020 before it's supposed to switch to 5 cent billing, soooooooooo. We'll see?

Eh. Depends on what you're going to use it for. Personally I'd at least go for a logitech g920 (I have one), or one of the next level up thrustmasters.

I'm sure that Ferrari wheel would be OK for light non-sim use, but it uses a bungie cord system for resistance and only has 240 degrees of rotation. If you wanna use a wheel for any serious racing, spend a little more.

The sim wheel rabbit hole goes deep. But you don't have to spend a TON to get a decent wheel. I've been pretty happy with the logitech. And I came from using a Fanatec back in the ps3/360 days. Those wheels..... mmmm.

When I got my day one console, I sold the day one achievement code for $25 alone. Lol

Well, I’m back to paying 15 a month for ultimate game pass. I only got like 6 months at that discounted price. I’ll probably cancel it and just buy the gold membership. Unless, is there any other way I can get the discounted price again?
