Hendricks certainly did a great Maddux impression last night! And yeah, Madden absolutely would've pulled him in the 9th after he gave up the leadoff hit. Nice to see Ross give him a longer leash to start the season and set the tone that he's perhaps gonna trust his starting staff a bit more. On pace for 60-0!

Hendricks has developed a curve that he can trust. That’s the difference your going to see this year. Years past it was fastball, change and sinker, now he has a curve ball. I don’t think I have ever seen someone make Yelich look so silly, not once but twice. 2 out of 4 of Yelichs at bats he had absolutely no chance.

Let’s see what Yu shows up today. 1st half or 2nd half Yu from last year.

Manfred has pretty much admitted the Cards wont play the full 60 games. Thats bullshit imo, if thats the case then cancel the season.

One team missing the season isn't that bad. If you are a Cards fan it sucks but that doesn't mean that the other teams that followed the rules should lose out.

Its BS for the other teams that wont get to play their scheduled games vs the Cards. Could be HUGE on playoff implications.

I agree. It’s a big mess. Hopefully the Cards can play at least 45 games or so. And go by winning %. And their record against the Cubs. That might be fair. Idk.

I hope both the Cubs and Sox make the playoffs. The Cubs are about to lose again right now. But hopefully they win the 2nd game of the double header.
