Ferrari revealed their car today. It looks like..........a Ferrari.

I can’t remember where I read it, but someone did a graphic of the Ferraris from the last like decade or two. Couldn’t tell them apart.

Mercedes isn’t exactly jaw dropping, nor HAAS.

Way too many aero bits on the car. Too complex and distracting.

Imagine if they were all one color.. nobody would ever be able to tell the difference. Shit as it is now you can barley tell which driver is in the car because the halo blocks soo much.

I don't have a problem w/ F1. But I have been watching Formula E for the last 2-3 years, and I still can NOT tell who is in which car for which team. I mostly blame that on the fact that FE races are on tight street tracks and the camera angles you get of the cars just blazing past make it near impossible to tell what you're looking at because the cars are just whizzing past too fast. But a lot of the livery schemes of teams are also way too similar. It's still great racing tho. Until someone curbs it into a hairpin and theres a 15 car pileup that takes 40 minutes to clear out

They’re talking about making the FE cars less durable so they stop banging into each other. Wrong direction. F1 cars are far too brittle, they need to be able to take a few bumps without a dozen carbon fiber aero bits flying in all directions.

Thats one of the things I love about FE. They all get into each other business like nothing else. Its really unavoidable with the tight street circuits they race on. If they were any less durable than they already are, it would just even more yellow flag racing and safety cars, and no one wants that.

Took the plunge. Ordered the F1 TV Pro package for the season. Let's see if it turns out to be a turd or not. So far only iOS and Android apps. Doesn't say that AppleTV app is out yet. However I can always push from the phone to the AppleTV in the meantime.

Past years F1 paid service was a turd. Nothing worked right and constantly froze. From what I hear least year was decent but I’m not going to bother until I’m sure it’s not crap still.

So far via the browser it was okay. But that was a replay of the test sessions. Will see what happens come Melbourne. Believe it or not the live-streaming of the races isn't really what drove me to make the purchase. It was the support races that you can watch and also the archived races back to 1981. That's what I want to see.

I just checked and no AppleTV app... so will use my MacBook and push to the TV. Good enough for me, for now. Both will be on a wired gigabit connection, so any latency will be the ISP and their servers.

Welp just read McClaren has pulled out of the Australian GP due to COVID19 concerns. Wondering if other teams will follow their lead.

I believe I read that their previous stance was to cancel a race even if only one team bails.

The report is that a McLaren team member tested positive. Two Haas team members were tested, and they are supposedly ok.

Australian F1 Grand Prix officially cancelled due to coronavirus

Australian Grand Prix organisers, Formula 1 and the FIA have all agreed to cancel the season opener in Melbourne due to the coronavirus pandemic

Guess I'm glad I picked up that F1 pass thingy. Can watch some old races this weekend. But will have to cast from phone to Apple TV since they haven't released a tvOS app yet

Right now ESPN has some strong man thing about the Mountain from GOT in place of where FP1 is supposed to be. YAY.

EVERYTHING is being cancelled/shut down everywhere right now, this is madness. No more NBA, no more NHL, movies being delayed, No F1 (so far), even fucking Le Mans got pushed back to September now. SHUT DOWN ALL THE THINGS!!! Soon you'll be shot for even poking your head out the front door.

This is what happens when you ban straws!!!!!!! Everyone was forced to put their lips on the same cups, and now you have this. This could have all been avoided!!!
