If they feel Justina is their man, then fuck yeah I'd do that in a heartbeat. Colts will suck again next year with a rookie QB, so that 2024 1st round and 2nd round picks should be top 10 imo.

No thank you, not one #1 stud like WR in that group, bunch of low end #2's and high end #3's in that group.

It's not easy to get a WR1 either in FA or the draft unless you pick one high or pay very high. Maybe the Bears use that Indy trade pick or their own next year. I strongly doubt they will use a 1 on a WR this year.

That's the scenario I posted above. IF (I use that term as it stands now based on Pole's presser), FIelds is QB1, then I would seriously consider it. You could fill a lot of needs in the next 2 years.

Cooks and Lazard are different players. I think Cooks is 5'10ish which is more like Mooney. Lazard is something like 6'5". Poles likes the big guys.

Cooks is the better WR of the 2 imo and he is faster

Bears are in an ideal position with the #1. I'm watching the frenzy begin early. Indy wants to do whatever it takes to get their QB. Houston doesn't know what they want to do. Half a dozen other teams also want a QB. I hope Poles is one hell of a negotiator because he could clean up. One mock draft I saw had the Bears picking up two 2024 1st rounders and a 2025 1st rounder plus other picks. Another had them getting a 2024 1st, a 2023 3rd and still getting Will Anderson. Feed that QB frenzy, media!

Wouldn’t mind the Bears trading Fields for draft picks and using the #1 pick to draft a QB

I think it's better to stick with Fields, at least for this season. Let's see if his passing improves like his running did. Plus, the Bears should end up with 1 or 2 additional 1st round picks in 2024 if they trade down. IF Fields sucks this year, trade him then and jump up to 1 to grab Caleb Williams who may be a generational QB. IF Fields gets better, those picks can fill more holes. I'd much rather have Williams than any of the QBs in this draft.

Fields had some flash runs which makes him have some value now (some still see potential).

Another the same or worse season and the Bears won’t get dick for him.

The only issue is, rumor has it he wants an extension if traded and has a no trade clause. Iirc he has 2yrs and $34-$35m left on his existing deal. I think he will be 31 when the season starts next year. He probably won’t approve a trade without a guaranteed extension. With that said, is he worth a 3rd and probably 4yrs at $18m a year? He will probably want at least $50m guaranteed in the deal. I’d love to have him, but not at that cost

With the Ravens loss, the 2nd round pick is currently at 54. If Tampa wins tomorrow it goes to 53.

DeForest Buckner, Indy's #4 this year and 1st round pick in 2024? That's a deal I would make in a second. Just tossing it out in case Indy is really desperate to get their QB. I put this trade at the ceiling of what the Bears could get for the 1.
