Giddy with another great game, 26 point triple double with the game sealing dagger 3. Dude is only 22 years old, they can absolutely build around him at the 1. Getting him to sign an extension should be the top priority of the off season.

So your saying you think he is a franchise player you can build around?

Yes. Kinda.

Don't think he is the type of player that'll end up being the leading scorer, but you can certainly build around his skills. Like a Magic Johnson. Not saying he is Magic, but he has the skills to play that role.
I cant see him being someone you build around. If he does what he does for a whole season, what he has done the last month, then I can see him as a secondary guy. I dont put much stock in someone who has a hot 4-6 weeks.

He played that way in the Olympics. He never did in OKC because they didn't really use him. He couldn't get his legs with Zach on the team. He's got the keys now (and Coby still shoots 400000x a game) and he's playing insanely well. He's still only 22.

Is he a MVP guy? No, probably not. But he's absolutely a cornerstone player.

You don't get to build around a single player in the NBA anymore. You need 2-3 guys. He can certainly be a 2nd-3rd guy on a championship team.

Played the Kings tonight. Lavine and DeRozan. Bulls were down almost 20 at one point in the 2nd quarter. Kings did what I watched the Lavine led Bulls do for the past several years and completely melted down in the 3rd quarter. Bulls won by 12.

Trading Lavine was widely seen as a tank move by Chicago, but the Bulls got better. Is that where they want to be? Hard to say. They seem to refuse to actually rebuild. Off season will be very important.

Bulls absolutely dominated the Lakers this 2nd half. Giddy had a legit shot at a quadruple double, but missed it by 2 steals. Still had a triple double 15-10-17-8. Matas had 31 and Coby had 36.

This wasn't against a beat up Lakers team either, both Luka and LeBron played. This Bulls team is good.

Another big win against Denver. Jokic didn't play, so that obviously makes a difference. But still. They're 8-2 over the past 10. They're playing lights out.

If you're not watching the Bulls, it's time to watch again.
Still not going to watch them, if they win the play in and get into the playoffs then I'll watch. Its not just the Bulls, basketball in general is complete fucking trash now a days.
