I got you all beat:

I an out of work wind turbine technician. I've been laid off for 9 weeks collecting unemployment.

I am now a stay at home dad with 1 & 3 year old boys. I change diapers, make PP&J sandwiches and watch Veggie Tales all day.

Hopefully I will be back to work soon. I had an interview with Bosch that went really well. They called me yesterday for my second interview.

Wish me luck, I gotta get out of my house.

spending some quality time now with your little guys should be looked at as beneficial.

just think, when you find a job, depending on the hours, you may get home in time to see them an hour before their bath and bed time.

my brother in law is out of the house @ 5am and doesnt get home til after 530.... my sister is home by 6 with their 2 little guys and then its bath and bed 7 and 8

so as much as dirty diapers are, shitty ( haha pun intended ) i would gladly trade poopy diapers and unemployment for what i'm doing now.

just need to find some kids...................as i am "dating" and living @ home @ 28

yes it is,

The farm (or park) I was at went with another vendor for after the warranty expired. So I got shafted more or less.

Right now I'm looking into doing warranty service work, but not for just one company.

The company I'm being interviewed for now makes and services the large gearboxes the go all the way at the top. The gear boxes are 300 feet in the air and weigh 40 ton, they are pretty big.

Many different vendors use the same kind of gearboxes. This way I will always have a job and not have to worry about contracts expiring, or have to worry about weather or not customers will extend service contracts.

I will still have to travel all over to diagnose problems but I will be doing the rebuilds here in the Chicago area.

well at least the 1st 30 minutes of the day were ok. one of the forklift/order pickers took a crap so a guy that looked just like Paul SR ( american chopper )
came to pick it up and drop another off.

so he had to do some maneuvering in the warehouse and actually haul it out on another front loader fork lift.........i guess thats my excitement for the day

only 8 hours to go

and on that note,
who hear has seen office space ? christ sake, if i have to hear one more person say, ITS FRIDAY or HAPPY FRIDAY @ 7 am i will puke

it's friday when i am in my truck peeling wheels out of here !!!!

friday would be better if i had them off.........even though i had a shti job for sears, ( route specialist ) dispatching for the in home techinicians..........at one point i had a 5 day weekend every 3 weeks.

work wed - sat ( 10 hour days )

fri and sat work

off fri - tuesday

Today should be fairly easy day. The doctor here usually goes sailing on Fridays, we dont have that many patients scheduled, and Ill most likely be ablt to slip out of here an hour early.

yes brian, i have a job...............and like the mature responsible adult i am, i get up in the morning and come 15 minutes early and stay late when my boss needs me to.
but i dont have to like it, and yes i am trying to do something about it, but its not easy out there

I'm very grateful I have a job as well in this economy but it would be impossible for me to like my job. I like a lot of the people, I like the environment, and that's about it.

I agree. Im getting boned in the ass by my job for scheduling reasons. Fuckin up the rotation if you will. At least I can still pay my bills.

At least I dont have to work with a horsefucker.

my back is to her so i dont pay attention.

listening to her talk on the phone and having to see her walk by for the 45 smoke breaks a day really makes me cringe..........
