And when is the last time and only time the SUX won a playoff series? Not sure why you keep alluding to that when the Cubs have won more playoff series in the last 10yrs than the SUX have in their entire history.

Cub fans have been conditioned to accept multitudes of long periods of epic failures in between the few bright spots that dot the team timeline. That's why I am often cautiously optimistic whenever there is a glimmer of hope for things to turn out for the better.

At least the 27.0 ERA for this outing (7 runs in 2.1 innings) by Crochet wasn't as bad as Imanaga's 10 runs in 3.0 innings (30.0 ERA) earlier this year. So the Sox fans can also celebrate their Ace's performance in addition to almost winning tonight with post game fireworks!
