Overrated, especially for his position. What good is a singles hitting first basemen, especially when a generational talent was playing first base 8 miles south?

Frank Thomas isn’t a generational talent. In order to be that you need to be a great all around player like Mike Trout. Frank Thomas was a great offensive player arguably one of the best offensive 1st basemen in history. Also did it clean which is very respectful considering what was going on with steroids.

Just an fyi, Thomas’ OPS is higher than Trouts at this point in both of their careers. Yes, Thomas wasn’t a great fielder but he was the best hitter in the 90s. Better than Griffey.

37 wins is more than 21 wins.
40 losses is less than 57 losses.
While neither club record is good and both teams are indeed under .500, those are not "equal". One record is worse than the other. How am I wrong?
