Dude. It’s basic math. 10 earned runs in 3 innings is equivalent to a 30 ERA. Thats worse than almost every example you provided above. Thank you for proving my point.

Let me help you out. If Shita pitched 5 innings like most on this list he was on pace to give up 17 runs.

Drew Thorpe's six scoreless innings brings White Sox' starting pitchers ERA to 2.77 over last 15 games with 10 quality starts. It's the best mark in the AL.

We all argue more about semantics and minutiae here than anything else. One side naturally skews more to one interpretation of data/facts depending on how it best supports their own point of view. And we get irritated when someone skews to the other side of it and ignores the other aspect. Anyway, we're BBQing and fireworking tonight in Plainfield, so sticking here regardless of invite status, so not settling it out over beers tonight LOL . Sorry! 
Apparently for 2024, the worst ERA for one game this season is 162.0 giving up 6 runs in 1/3 of an inning. Several others over 100 as well for short outings less than 1 inning. Still, not diminishing that 10 runs in 3 innings by Imanaga was historically bad in the modern era, though.
