Wearing a white sox shrit, holding on to his youth by playing slow pitch softball because he hates his wife and kids? Yes.
He was only 28. I been playing 30yrs now and I'm not trying to hold onto my youth, nor do I hate my Wife and kids. Its doing something I actually love to do and it keeps me active. Your BFF S Huggerorange73 played just about as long as me iirc. He hated his Wife from what I gather, but not his kids

By the time you get to mid-30's it's time to switch to golf.
Only golfing I'll do is mini golf. Ive been on a golf course and it does nothing for me, in fact I think its boring af, but thats just my opinion.
Some dudes enjoy it though, its not for me. I plan on playing competitive softball into my 60's albeit I'll probably need to join a above 50 league once I get there.
My reaction time is nowhere near what it used to be and I'm gonna wind up getting seriously hurt with these young fucks.
Last week took one of the shin and its still swollen, last night the 3rd baseman made a bad throw to first and almost blasted me in the head as I was running down the line. I ducked which led to me falling over the 1st basemans leg as he tried at least to deflect the ball so I didnt get hit in the head. Took a spill and now my right hand is swollen.

I started playing at 16 (16" at Oriole Park) I'm going to be 55 in August and I'm still playing.

I love the game and will play until I physically can't.....I did hate my wife, but not my kids lol

I suspect you and I are on the same level, once you hit the 50+ leagues....you will be a fucking legend.

It's routine to be walked with the bases loaded when you can still hit the ball out of the park.

My favorite part about last nights cubs thriller is how the 9th inning homer looked like a pop fly off the bat. But nope, at Wrigley shit hole its easily a homer with the wind and the shortest power alleys in the league.

Cubs are a little league program playing in a little league park. The only thing worse than the cubs themselves are the idiots that follow them.

Yup, hit behind the ear with a throw...but that's gonna happen in all leagues...probably more so in a rec league where they all think they're BAEZ!

He's still on the struggle bus a bit.
That changed my outlook a lot on softball. That's what I mean about people not understanding what a rec league is. Totally avoidable.

If we remove April, which appears to be an outlier to this point the Cubs are 12 games under .500 with a -38 run differential.

Not to be concerned though, because they are still way less worser than the Sox!

Ive seen dudes most notably playing 1st and 3rd take some wicked shots to the face on balls that took a bad hop and I'm sure you have as well.
I seen a 1st baseman in the Elgin unlimited arch league lead get blasted in the face and started having a seizure on the field. I played 3rd for probably 15ish years and 1st the last 10ish years and I have been fortunate enough to never take a bad hop to the grill. At my age now bro, I'll get out of the way and try to backhand something screaming before I get in front of it. I also have no issues playing RF or catcher now a days either. These fucking kids hit the ball so god damn hard and I'm sure at least half if not more are using shaved bats. The distance some of these kids get on the ball at their size, there is no fucking way they are doing that with a non shaved bat

Thomas Nido is here to save the season!

Games sent packing
So you get rid of one catcher only to replace him with essentially the same catcher, makes sense.
Bring Ballesteros up and see what he can do, cant be any worse. Let him DH, play 1st and catch when Amaya needs a break
Also not sure why the fuck they called up Mastriboni over Caissie. I get it they are set in the outfield, but he could DH as well as play anywhere in the OF when someone needs a break. Instead your going with Wisdom and Bote and neither belong on an MLB roster
