Actually the thread looked the other way around while all that repetitive (but brief) winning was going on a ways back.
Yeah, when a team is playing well, the chest gets puffed out a bit and the right to talk down on the weaker team has been earned, has it not? That isn't shocking and we all do it. Hell, you celebrated the rare Sox wins this year like it was a freaking New Years Eve party! šŸ¤£

But this faltering Cubs team (that indeed has issues) isn't remotely near the same crap level as the Southside Shit Show and we all know it.

As of today:
Wildcard: 19 games back vs 0.5 games back.
Division lead: 27.5 games back vs 7.5 games back.

Not even close, bud! šŸ¤£

The anti-Cub goons can pretend otherwise, but it really doesn't help dispel the notion of Sox fans having an inferiority complex when you all are this blatant and obvious about it, especially this suck-ass season.

Go-ahead and tell me I'm wrong. I can hardly wait to see what the goon club has to say to defend themselves and not dig their hole even deeper... šŸ¤£

I'm still waiting on an explanation from Mike. In this thread and even more so the Bears thread. Its a cardinal sin to root for the rival teams demise and those who do so will be going to hell the way he describes it. But yet here he is pretty much daily doing the same. Its cool to do it imo, but dont hate on others when they do it

Big difference my guy.

Bear fans are shit talking a franchise that has absolutely run rough shod over them since 1994.

Do you realize how fucking stupid that is?

Also, did you see me run and hide at any point in the Sox failures.

Did you see anyone aside from people like us saying the Bears are a joke franchise?

Now, fast forward to this thread.

I will not regurgitate the history since 1959 or 1969, but the facts are the Sox have had a better record than the Cubs 30 times over those spans.

We can also discuss 3 rings each, 1 each in our lifetimes.

I have hated the Cubs with the same passion you hate the Sox since I was a child.

Always have, always will.

We're all in here just shit talking each other and having fun as we all know the truth is both these teams suck....don't think any of us are as delusional as Bear fans are.

Future looks bright for the White Sox ranking #18 on the top prospects list. Ready to turn the corner and maybe win 60+ games next year! That could make them the most improved team next year! Go Go White Sox!

Not worth mentioning where this list ranked the Cubs, since one of the goon squad already told us how much their prospects suck and he is an expert on the Cubs. šŸ˜

And yes, we all know prospects fail more than they succeed, so no point in getting too up or down about it...

Do you have a second account with the name of "Turk"?

Earlier I mentioned "the anti Cub goon squad". Is that offensive to you?

Sox have one of the top farm systems now. May want to check some recent ratings my man. Cubs I think are near the bottom.

The Anti-Cub Goon Squad likes to use their own numbering methods (the whole .500 debate, for example) when something that is widely accepted doesn't align with their opinion. So Turkey was merely saying that the Cubs #2 rank is worse than the Sox #18 rank because that's just how his mind works now to convince himself the Cubs are worse. šŸ¤£

As usual, the Anti-Sox Puds think their opinions matter more than ours (like the whole .500 debate that has been proven as widely debatable, with the general public being split right down the middle). Sox have a top 10 prospect, cubs still don't. So far their prospects have sucks. Turk Turk is right.

Nobody tagged you in this, and yet here you are again, Goon, despite you saying "you were done". Thanks for confirming yet again you are completely delusional nearly every time you randomly bang your fingers on the keyboard. "General public split right down the middle"? GTFOH with that bullshit when there isn't a single media article (not forum opinions from alternate reality type folks that probably also believe in chemtrails and flat earth) that ever references your dumb-ass method for determining games above and below .500. It's always just a simple subtraction of wins from losses, not ever with a factor of 2 like you did to attempt to welch on a bet like a little bitch. I provided multiple examples of how it's done, yet you've shown nothing to show your side besides a forum discussion from a few people that want to think of it differently from the widely accepted method that is always used by sports media, journalists, and broadcasters.

And sure, be a buffoon and ignore the rankings that have the Cubs TOTAL prospects ranked #2 and the Sox #18 despite the Sox having ONE prospect ranked a few positions higher than the Cubs top prospect. I'm sure that's how YOU would prefer to build a future team by having fewer overall good prospects, and that why the Southside Shit Show will continue for the next few years because of other idiots thinking the same way. How's that been working for your team so far? :ROFLMAO: Do you need a bigger shovel to keep digging your hole even deeper? I get it, though: you just can't come to terms with how bad the Sox are and will continue to be, so antagonizing Cub fans is all you've got to live for this season. We know it, you know it, and you continue to show it...

Go look back at the posts, dip shit. Not once did I try to "welch" on the bet. You're a beat off and have been since your pussy hurt so bad that the thread had to be split. Your lack of knowledge has been proven time and time again no matter how many big words you try to use or how condescending you make your posts. If it was just me, then sure your argument would be valid. Google it moron. You don't have to tag me for me to call you out on being retarded. I'll do that on my own. Both teams suck, your prospects that are on the big league team suck, you even said prospects are a crap shoot yet you dumbasses continue to act like the cubs are good team. :bowrofl:

Even you and Shawn1112 Shawn1112 agreed the .500 thing can wotk both ways, and it's a debate outside of this forum with other fans as well.

Not because anyone is trying to minimize the amount of games below average, but because mathematically speaking it doesn't make sense.

Farm system rankings are nice, but honestly don't amount to much. I tend to think that's just an indicator of how many lottery tickets/trade chips that franchise is holding as opposed to talent.

Most prospects don't pan out, baseball is brutal game in that regard.

If the cubs highly ranked prospects are as good as PCA and Morel, cubs are gonna be reallllly good the next decade man.

Back to the .500 debate.

A baseball season is 162 games.

81 - 81 is 500.

If a team finished 62 - 100, there is no way they could finish 100 - 100 as that would result in 200 games played.

81 wins is .500.

This isn't "feels" or an opinion, it's a mathematical fact.

162 is an absolute number.

81 is an absolute number in terms of .500.

If anything the "baseball math" is the fuzzy number.

I stand by my statement that I don't give a flying fuck if you are 1 game under, 10 under, 20 games under or 40 games under at any point in time, you are absolutely having a LOSING season at that point.

And once again, as fans of both Chicago baseball teams, we are WAY too familiar with LOSING seasons as both teams are having yet again at this point.

The fact that the Sox are indeed historically bad this season doesn't cancel out the fact the Cubs are also bad this season.

But carry on!

Also, regarding the .500 argument, I personally just take the difference between wins and losses but fully understand the other side as well.
And I totally see that side as well.

During the season, it kinda makes sense as there are still xx amount to games to play.

Again, to me it's semantics, no matter which "math" you are using to measure it, you're still BELOW .500 AND SUCK.

It's like measuring your dick from behind your balls.
