Hurts just got PAID.....
I liked him coming out of college, but dont know if he justified that contract just yet, but they see him in the building all the time and maybe they feel he did.I have a feeling they will regret that contract
Isnt Klutch Sports owned by Lequeens people?
Contract is WAY backloaded, looks like theyre making a huge push now with that much cap space in the coming few years. Maybe theyre hoping they can resign him again before the 2027 season to another extension to smooth things out?
I mean I think the point is that he takes up very little cap space in the next few seasons, so they get to keep a star QB and keep room for lots of other talent.Eagles are going nowhere with that stupid contract.... I bet they tank within the next couple seasons, betting the farm on a QB whos been in the league 3 years and hasnt done shit yet. Meanwhile, you're going to have no money for other talent.
Also a note - I am pretty sure as this is an extension and he was already under contract for 2023. So the first year isn't really reflected heavily in that 255.I did not know that you could have a 5 year, $255m contract that "only" takes up $73m in cap space in the first 4 years of the deal. Seems nuts.

But then it's basically guaranteed that they'll suck starting in 2027. Lol
I have zero idea. Like you said, its all way too confusing. So like...what's he actually making per year? Is it $51m?
