Really, I think I said that last week when you mentioned a partial rebuild or however you worded it
Good call. Poles showed his full rebuild goals with the Mack trade. Before that, we didn't know how good he thought the team was. By trading Mack, he basically said the team sucks.

I think it’s silly, but whatever. The bears didn’t get what they paid for him, and still on the hook for money this year.

I’m not a GM or contract guy so I’m not gonna blind rage it.

Letting Robinson go was dumb.

Cohen I’m indifferent about.

So far that's 3 players who were injured or sat out long term. Coincidence?
Injury isn’t an excuse IMO. If people are expected to play hurt and possibly compromise their future only to be tossed aside cause at the end of the day it’s a business, you are damn right people deserve to try and make sure they are confident enough their body is good. Especially if your team is a perennial non winner.

Danny Trevathan expected to be named as a post June 1 cut. Bears get more cap savings if they let him go after June 1. They can use that money to pay their draft picks.

Interesting note: Bears are expected to have between $120-$150 million available for 2023. Will probably lead the league in cap space. They could also use that money to back load any major free agent signings this year.

“How do I get people/players to buy into what I’m trying to do? I KNOW!! Fire them and get people I know!!”

Said every corporation ever.

Yes - we continue to see the same traditional Corpo approach from this team

1.nAs new leader(s), come in and make promises of a better future
2. Cut everyone and replace them with your people
3. Blame failures on previous regime, over inflate small Wins as steps in route to better future
4. Keep selling the same BS future state story as progress is limited at best
5. Eventually be shown the door and replaced by the next set of quote / unquote leaders

Rinse & Repeat

Pretty much spot on, on how it’s been around these parts.
