I would just based on turnovers. Carr loses the ball way too easily. If McDaniels canā€™t get the offense into this century theyā€™re done for at least 5 years.

Carr is in the 10-15 range of QBs in the league, so not terrible but not great. Extend him 2 years to learn with the new staff, but draft a new QB next year since hone of the ones in this class are jumping off the page

Selling homes on the Gulf Coast of Florida
From CBS:

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Denver is trading its 2022 first-round pick (No. 9 overall), its 2023 first-round pick, its 2022 second-rounder (No. 40 overall), another second-round pick in 2023 and a 2022 fifth to acquire Wilson. The Broncos will also receive a 2022 fourth-round pick in return. Additionally, tight end Noah Fant is reportedly being sent to Seattle.

If you're not seeing him progress in practice, study, and drills like you had hoped then what are you supposed to do, hope it finally clicks when wins and losses count?

If he wasnt good they wont pick up his fifth year option and he will get a chance to prove them wrong somewhere else.
