Another point with Russell Wilson is the Chicago market may be more attractive to him than Las Vegas or N.O. Wilson could make a LOT of side money in Chicago.

Still another rumor has Wilson waiting to see what kind of push the Bears make in getting set up to get to a SuperBowl with their offseason moves.

Seattle has the $39 mil cap hit if they trade Wilson before June 1. If they wait until after June 1 so they can split the hit into two years, the draft will be over. Seems to indicate they would be looking for players and future draft picks in return. Would the Bears wait until after the draft? If they don't get Wilson, they need a QB one way or another and that will influence their draft picks. Makes me think the two teams would either need to trade before the draft or have some kind of under the counter deal in place.

Unless they make a prearranged deal with Seattle or any other team. I would think/hope they would want their QB in place prior to the draft.

Twitter is buzzing....

I guess sportsbooks took down Wilson betting for his "next team" and the odds for Chicago to win the division was raised at the same time....

Read something very similar this morning. Sounds like they are willing to do whatever it takes to get Wilson. 2-1st rounders and Mack, I wouldnt hate it, but wouldnt love it either lol. Still need a left tackle at the very least or he will be running for his life again, lol.

Something to keep in mind...

While thereā€™s concern about relinquishing future draft capital, which is how you build a team, Pace hasnā€™t exactly hit on first-round picks over the years. Aside from linebacker Roquan Smith, Paceā€™s three first-round picks have been duds in receiver Kevin White, pass rusher Leonard Floyd and quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

I saw a video where the hosts were estimating what Seattle would want for Wilson. Khalil Mack, Cody Whitehair. 3 number 1s. A number 2 and a number 3. That's a bit insane. Figuring the Mack deal, that's 5 number 1s. I'd say no to that. I'd rather take a QB with the number 1 three years in a row and hope to hit on one of them than take that deal.
