It's a new year. It's a new season.

Bears fans have HOPE! Let's see how Nagy and Trubearsky can improve the team from last year's acceptable performance.

Justin Houston to the Bears or is that just a dream?

Why Justin Houston? Bears already have Floyd and Mack. Unless they go back to 4-3.

Soon.... 13-3
1st place schedule next year. Defense is going to lose Calahan or Amos.
They need Mitch to step up big time for them to be 13-3.
Was hoping they would go after the Honey Badger, but reports have him going to KC

Imagine the rush you would get with Khalil, Houston, Hicks, Goldman and Floyd rushing at once. Besides that, the depth would make the Bears D Line comparable to some of the best Defenses in NFL history. Rotate every other play and give guys time to rest so they are fresh the entire game.

It's rare to get an ILB who still has a 20 sack potential. Add Houston to the Bears and the D Line will be even more amazing. Not the biggest need on the team but I'd be happy to see Houston sign.

Bears are signing Seattle RB, Mike Davis. Davis did well when called on in Seattle last year. He's 26 and is going to put competition pressure on Jordan Howard.

Looks like the Bears won't be going after LeVeon. Good.

Much rather keep Howard over Davis. Howard is a beast when used correctly

Because of Howard's salary, the Bears could keep both of them. They would need to make a decision next year when Howard's rookie contract runs out. IMO, one of the Bears back up RBs is more likely to be released. Cunningham? Mizzell?

I'm betting Howard is gone before training camp.
They will draft a RB as well

Heard on the radio this morning. Buster Skrine has been the most penalized nickel DB since coming in to the league, lol.

Yes, let's give $16.5M to a guy that's ranked 102nd out of 112 players at the CB position :picard:

There was a rush on safeties yesterday and today, and quite a few got big contracts. Not like last year when the safety market was basically non-existent

Crazy thing is, free agency doesn't start for another 24 hours :hsughlol:

Seriously, why is moving away from Howard a good thing? He has shown you time and again when you give him the rock and a lane, he gives you yards. But what do I know?

My fear is the Bears getting rid of him and he goes to GB and tears shit up.

Bears would never trade him to GB

He just doesn't fit Nagy's offense...Howard needs touches to start to get moving, and that's just not something he's going to get with this Bears team. Nagy's offense calls for RB's that can catch and run. Howard can run, but the catching part is not really in his wheelhouse, and nothing against Howard, that's not what he was drafted to do. The Bears can either trade him and at least get something back (probably only a 4th or 5th, but that's where you selected him in the first place) or let him sit and rot for another year and get nothing back when he hits FA next year.
