Probably not exactly what your looking for but I’ve considered down sizing since we haven’t used the boat as a family as intended much, and I need something under 20’ to use on my local lake, motor was new spring of 21 has 40ish hours on it now, the boat needs new vinyl on the sun pad which I will probably have done in the next month or so, aside from that it had trandsome and stringers done in 2017, new motor gm zz502 508hp 560tq 502 big block, custom carb done by Nickerson performance all new fuel system, had 8 6.5” speakers two 12” subs fosgate and jl amps fusion head unit, runs low 70’s full of fuel with a couple passengers

I appreciate the heads up but I’m a brand new boater and I don’t think a 70mph boat is a good choice for my first.

Maybe I’ll start off with an old iron-duked poontoon and go from there.

I’d try to find a beater toon you will always make your money back on boats that are already old and in the sub 10k price range if you decide boats arnt for you

I picked up a pretty rough 18’ pontoon last year for 2k no trailer had to do some work to make it decent but I use it almost every day in the summer

A pontoon that is structurally sound and only needs some TLC is a great choice and easy to work on.

Parking does take some getting used to as compared to a 16 ft run a bout, but a pontoon is also more forgiving if you rub the dock.

Ensure the pontoon has a comparable powered engine.
