I just recall a LOT of resource gathering, which got old after a while. You couldn't even get off the ground in your ship unless you made "thruster fuel" or some shit, and it ran out fast, leaving you stranded until you made more.

I was more into following the story, but ended up getting stuck and couldn't continue. I needed to find like 10 different species of aliens and got to 9 and could never find the 10th one, even after hours of searching everywhere.

I had no incentive to continue after that.

So, my base has grown. And I found decent ways to make money so I don't have to spend so much time on resource collection for doing shit.

Easy way #1.
  1. Get the mining gas extractor and find an Oxygen hotspot. Collect as much Oxygen as you can.
  2. Get a Medium or Large Refiner and combine Oxygen and Chlorine.
  3. Sell to Traders in ships, not trade terminals. If you sell to trade terminal you will crash the economy for that system. Selling to traders in ships won't affect economy prices.
  4. I found a system that buys it for a 5.8% bonus.
2 Oxygen + 1 Chlorine = 6 Chlorine. You only need 1 unit of chlorine to start, and then you can keep infinitely adding the chlorine back into the refiner as long as you have Oxygen.

Chlorine sells for about 600 credits / unit. I was able to easily refine 20000 units and sell it to get 12 million a pop. I still have this going and occasionally do it. But have found better ways.

Easy Way #2.

Craft a Indium Hyperdrive. Find an Activated Indium hot-spot. MINE THE CRAP OUT OF IT. Activated Indium sells for 960 credits per unit. I have a farm that produces about 3000 units per hour and has enough storage to hold 36000 units right now. So 36,000 * 960 = 34.5m every day with no more work than collecting it from the silo and warping to a station. As I get resources I keep expanding the mine so it generates and stores more Activated Indium.

I found a station that buys it for -1.3%. So I walk away with about $34 million every transaction.

Not so easy way, but makes more money, more fasterer #3.

Unlock the Fusion Accelerant, and Liquid Explosive recipes, and then later the Warp Power Cell, and then finally the Fusion Igniters (still haven't unlocked that).

I can easily craft 10 to 15 Warp Power Cores per day. Each Warp Power Core sells for $4.5 Million, and I still have left over stuff to craft tons of Fusion Accelerant.

I can make about $120 million per visit.

And some shots of my base at the beginning and as it currently sits.

My under-water out-post where I mine Nitrogen gas for the Nitrogen Salt needed to make the Fusion Accelerant.

And my my A-Wing star-ship I found. S-Class killer fighter. Its like a rip-off combination of an A-Wing, X-Wing, and a Tie Advanced.

(Need a few mil units to start) Mine like 10k cobalt, sell and buy it at a space station until it goes -80% demand, buy out the cobalt from the people landing until you have 30k or so, go to new station, sell all (sells at near 0% demand) buy it all back at -80% demand, go to new station and sell/buy again. Keep doing until you have sufficient units.

Daaammnnnit this makes me wanna get back into the game. But I'm always away from it for so long that when I do jump back in I practically have to re-learn everything again. Especially after all the current updates. Gotta try and remember what system I last played it on too, ive got it for PS4 and Xbox

I had my finger on the trigger to buy this game because I really wanted something I could just jump in, explore and wind down. But then flight sim 2020 came out. Maybe if this goes on some massive discount or I can get it for free.

You mean you actually found a planet without acid storms??
Its fuckin amazing. No storms. No sentinels. S-Class Power hot-spot. Fairly deep water if I want to build Atlantis. It would only be better if it were a T3 system. Instead its just T2.

Did I mention it also has a black hole in the system?

I bet I can also find a Stargate either on-planet, or in the system.

Its large enough that I actually went and dismantled my other base that I was still farming from.

The first (incomplete) load almost broke 900 million. I think when I get all the ratio's sorted out, I'll be able to 1 billion in a single transaction. :)

Now the game needs to give me a reason to be able to generate all this money. Cause right now if I just did 1 haul a month I'd be set.
