Gaming No Man's Sky Developer Reveals Next Project: Light No Fire

Hello Games, the studio behind No Man's Sky and The Last Campfire, has announced its next game: Light No Fire.

The developer also showed off a brief glimpse at the title at tonight's The Game Awards, showing off some open-world exploration. Per its official description, it's "a game about adventure, building, survival and exploration together. Set on a fantasy planet the size of Earth, it brings the depth of a role playing game to the freedom of a survival sandbox."

A release date and platforms were not announced.



It immediately looks quite similar to No Man's Sky, but whereas that title had players exploring the vastness of space, Light No Fire will take inspiration from "classic fantasy." The reveal trailer, all captured in in-game multiplayer, showed everything from the player flying about on a dragon to swimming underwater.

I'm not sure how I feel about this game. I like NMS, but overall it has no real story to it, so after a while it just gets boring. The expeditions in NMS helped because there was essentially a monthly challenge to complete. Though most of the time the rewards were just cosmetic things. The Normandy SR1 was the best reward as its useful in your fleet.

I just think its basically going to be NMS but with different textures and models.

Open world games in a nutshell. Idk why people hype those games so much.
