Well I guess I would have to put myself on this list, even though I gave a fuck!! So from the flood, with the water rising so high and boat launches being closed I was forced to try and secure my boat the best I could. Well after pulling my boat out on Saturday I found out I lost that one. It appears by boat came in contact with one of the posts from my lift. Under normal conditions the. Side bunks work prevent any contact but again with water so high there was no protection.

And the damage, pic doesn't show how deep these truly are. How do damage claims like this work if I chose to run through my insurance? Similar to a car being keyed? Considered a non fault claim?

boat claims typically don't "hurt you" afaik

Yea pretty pissed, at the situation and at my self for not doing a better job of securing. I called State Farm and my agent said they have had alot of claims made in the past two weeks, I am waiting for a claims adjuster to get back to me, Im sure they are pretty busy.
