Selling the 18-105mm lens that came with my D90. It has always had a filter on it, so the front glass is immaculate. No issues with it, and the outside doesn't show any wear either.

My D3100 came with an 18-55mm... Would this be a worthwhile upgrade? Just got the camera in the mail today, so I haven't even played with it!

Eh for the added range, yes. I have read that the 18-55 is sharper. You wouldn't want to carry both as the 18-55 covers half of its range. In your case I'd either get the 55-200 VR which can be acquired for pretty cheap. Other option would be to get the 18-200 VR which a lot of people really like.

Thanks for the response! I suppose I should just use what we have for a little while before I get silly and buy more stuff for it! Good luck with the sale!
