Tell me what you guys think i should get from TEP. I already talked to Dave and he told me to get the upgraded input shaft and i should be good for running low 12s with it and the other mods on the car. Anything else i should look into while i am at it?

Wasn't your car just for-sale on craigslist?

I'd get a converter too. Steeper gears are an option but I would stay stock ratio if you daily your car.

Eh mpgs is a factor for me.

I was gonna build a gt trans on the cheap. Higher stall and steeper gears ftw!

With everything tuned and such, you probably lose a whole 2MPG. Ohh noes.

if ya got a choice, get 3.29s, just after having 3.69s in a DD as well as stock ratio

makes it a little more fun driving around idk

I have the 3.29's from Dave, and honestly wish I would have stayed with 2.93's.

Its fun being able to light the tires at command all over town, but it was nicer being able to cruise at lower RPM's.

And sinster i wanna build it to how it was like in to old days with that nice lookin turbo haha. I am not going to buy this trans for a little while but i wanna have everything set and stone when i go buy it.

I have the 3.29s on the Bonneville. I did suffer about 1-2MPG loss...but overall it makes it get up and go; especially on the highway. 3rd gear doesn't feel like a dog.

FWIW - Dave built my trans in my SSEi. Along with the base build I went with the 4340 input shaft, stock stall convertor (I had a higher stall and found that I didnt like it. Plus my trans temps were higher.) and 3.29 gears. I also had him install an upgraded ZZP pump shaft and ZZP gun-drilled output shaft both of which he said weren't really needed.

Anyway, if you go with Dave you won't go wrong.
