It’s par for the course with American interiors. Even Caddy uses sub-par interior materials compared to Lexus, BMW, Audi, etc.
Its funny you say that. Customer of mine and her Husband are car guys/gals. No kids except their big ass dogs. They just got a 2nd dog, I forget what kind but they get big as fuck, they already have one of these dogs. So in the market for big SUV and they really love my Z71, but not big enough according to them. They looked at a 2021 Escalade that stickered just north of $100k. Looked at and are purchasing a High Country Suburban iirc for around $80k. My customers Husband said he loved the Escalade cockpit, but couldnt justify the $25k extra once all said and done. They put a deposit down on the Burb, just waiting for the dealer to find them one with the options they want.

craziest part i read was some reviewer thought what he was driving had a 6.2 but it was a 5.3 truck, which is mind botttltltling to me.

his article makes it sound like he doesn't love it... then he drops this with his insta post.

Overall, the new ‘Burban remains the XXL king of taking 7 people, ALL their stuff, and going anywhere.

77k msrp with a 5.3 is a tough thing to bite off though
Fuck that's nice. I hate the rear captains chairs though.

Rear Capt Chairs were a must have and 100% total deal breaker for me if they didnt have on my 2021 Tahoe.
You would prefer the bench style seats in the rear?
Yeah, I prefer the bench for the rear rows. I don't like the huge gap between the seats, even though it's probably better to access the 3rd seat. I also don't like losing a seat for basically wasted space.

That front end is so much better, it’s silly. Also liking those new wheels.

Yes, When folded down, they create a much nicer (perhaps flatter) load floor.

The 2003 has the captains, and yes, they're nice for sitting in, but I use mine for hauling stuff too, so even when they're down, there still is that gap between them that shit can fall in to and/or make it more difficult to slide in/out awkward sized items. The '99 has the bench and when it folds down, it's all flat load floor

Gotta say I think that the wheel well fitment is a huge issue look wise. I am hoping they set it up for big tires from the factory otherwise that's just going to look like shit. I'm talking 2-4" bigger diameter than stock.

i think some models are like my truck and have 33's stock right?

To that end, GM Authority has learned that the 2021 Tahoe Z71 and 2021 Suburban Z71 will be offered with aggressive Goodyear Wrangler TrailRunner AT tires, which are sized at 275/60R20. That’s right – these gargantuan SUVs come with 33-inch rubber form the factory – giving them the tires to back up their rugged, off-road-ready demeanor
