The induction systems get completely carboned up because it never gets a chance to run a regeneration. And by carboned up I dont mean “spray a few spritz of intake cleaner in there” I mean remove the EGR cooler and intake manifold and chisel out the carbon. Also all the DEF system either Leaks, pump fails, injectors fuck up, goes into limp mode..... I’ve replaced more Cruze and Silverado DEF pump assemblies than I care to remember.
I'm more happy with my 3.6 right now

🤣😂

The problem is, when you're in service, all you see are the problems. So everything is a POS. I felt much the same in my day.

yea, but when you see all of them in with the same exact problems regardless of condition and service history id say it’s just a problem with the design.

with something like a diesel Silverado for example, we don’t see the same issues as the diesel cars unless they just drive it around locally like the cars. We had one customer with a diesel Cruze that drove it on the highway and didn’t have nearly the problems that in town DD customers would have.

Me too, in the shop because the engine is so shoehorned into the truck you have to remove the cab and replace the engine harness because it gets pinched between the head and the firewall. We’ve done 3 different trucks, one of them twice.
Either way, people are buying them regardless of issues. Maybe just not in bumble Illinois

From my thread on the new Suburban (which could've been piggy backed on), where I noted in post #17, a discarded body shell... Looks like that was spot on...

Because people don't want an ecodoosh in a 3+ ton brick. Sales show this. They buy them and keep them 10, 15, or more years. Not that I'm advocating this diesel is a high miler, but diesels are known for their longevity.
Haven't EcoBoost's been and continue to be, by far, the biggest volume seller?

Other than it having all of the standard things the rear of a vehicle has I don’t see the resemblance.

Chrome stripe
Two tailights
Gray bumper moldings
Dark Glass
Logos
Angular metal stampings

Yup, they are the same

Minus the exhaust, thats a big difference. Ford must be an EV as it has none :s00ls:

F150 outsells every other fullsize pickup vast majority id bet are 2.7 or 3.5 ecoboost so what sales are you talking about?

Raptor Expedition Navigator you cannot get a V8 in so every single one you see Yep its got an ecoboost LOL.

You can probably look the numbers up and support your argument.

The EBV6 is the only engine in the expo/navi. So yes, it is the biggest volume seller by default.

You mean like the gazillion ecoboost raptors and expeditions and navigators and bajillion new F150s i see :bowrofl:

OK
You can deny it all you want. People aren't buying the expo/navi in droves as expected and one of the reasons why, is in a 3+ton brick, when you plunk down the coin you are for one of these and then plan to keep it 20 years, consumers don't want an TTV6. Those other vehicles mentioned have different target demos and different uses/applications, different consumer ownership lifespans, etc.. Again, sales tell the tale.

And Chevy figured out how to hide the wiper for the last 6 years
I was gonna make a funny comment about the size of the expo's teeny, tiny little rear wiper. :D Jesus that thing is an afterthought on it.
