Just speaking lyrically, how many rappers could you put in front of him.
Nas, Lil Wayne, and Em could all be 1a, 1B, and 1c. Biggie was super good lyrically but doesn’t have the longevity. Jay Z was too commercial imo.

Tech, is fucking good, JID is awesome! Flat Bush is great. Sleepy hollow is pretty fucking good, along with schoolboyq. Em, is great, but you have to give dues where dues are dues.

Ti28 Ti28 man we have very similar taste in rap.

You have guys who can say more words than Em who don’t sound as good (Aesop Rock, CunninLynguists, Busdriver, etc.)

Then you have guys who don’t really have top notch lyrical or technical skills but are way more enjoyable to listen to, like Freddie Gibbs, Tyler the Creator, Asap Rocky, etc.

Lyrically I’m putting MF DOOM in front of Em as well. Obviously a very different rapper, but dude’s wordplay is hilarious and I don’t have to heard him talk about killing his mom every other bar.

I'm 42 and grew up on the east coast. I like my east coast.

I like my east coat hip-hop, east hard-core.

But, I like other artists.

Dude's the GOAT. I thought this album was as close to his old shit as you can get. I am enjoying it. He dropped the choppy, modern flow that he dabbled in on the last couple albums. It's no MM EP or Em show but it's solid and nostalgic.

+1. We will most likely never get that version of SS or MM again (the old stuff). Like with a lot of artists, their just not in that same headspace, etc. But yes, i agree, this new album is really good and i am enjoying it.

the metaphors eminem has are just fucking insanely brilliant- of course lil wayne does this super well too. i don't know nas very well.
