AWD doesn't mean things can't get out of control. Sure, you potentially could have the AWD system help you at times. But AWD can't overcome physics.With the power it puts down, it was probably like driving an ice skate. Pressure Ratio can tell you how this happens with his 997TT.
With traction control off, my car will not completely turn off stability control. Even then, it can definitely drift the back end out with throttle. Then as mentioned in here earlier, the hammer-down mentality can get things out of shape real quick. Heck, even a snapping closed throttle blade can have an adverse effect on the chassis and suspension. So ya, AWD is helpful but not the answer for everything. lol
This car probably had been sitting at the show a while. So cold tires, cold streets, traction control off, and hammer down. Yup. That's how we got here.
