It is our Powerstack battery, utilizes flat cells stacked on top of each other versus traditional cylindrical cells. Benefits of this cell design is 50% more battery power, a much longer battery life, smaller battery footprint, and a much reduced weight.

No idea why I’m just seeing this, but will this battery tech also make it into the FlexVolt 60v line or might this tech make 60v not needed?

60V won’t be going away, the only thing this will do is expand the capability of the 60V product. This type of cell will move into higher amp hour products.

Speaking of.

Looks like Home Depot is doing the "hackable" M12 1/4" hex impact, drill, and 3/8" ratchet for $229 again. If you add the combo kit but add the ratchet separately, you can get the impact/drill combo for $138 and return the ratchet. Or keep the ratchet for damn near 40% savings.

I truly believe its all what feels good in your hand. Go finger blast All the brands and see what you like. And decide after all has been fondled. I am a Makita guy myself as they fit my gorilla mitts the best . Also I use them from home to work and auto and I abuse the crap out of them granted I now have dual sets for work and home but they are all write offs:cool:.

Side note I have been eyeballing the new snap-on driver with the forward/reverse trigger. But don't know if its worth $500 for the kit

Yessss... Since you do Automotive you really need to put your dick on the compact 3/8

I've had my eye on that m12 stubby, I hear it's pretty great. The m12 impact driver with a hex to 3/8 bit does good work though, especially when I'm under/inside a dash.
My 10+ year old snap on brushed tools still did ok, but the batteries were getting weak. I sure as fuck wasn't about to buy new batteries for old tools, and snapon prices for their brushless stuff is a joke. The old snap-on stuff is now in my home toolbox.
