So,
I bought a 05 LT with a 3800 (Jeeeze its wierd to be back in an 3800 let alone a GM vehcicle) for my girl and I changed the trans fluid in it and now its shifting like ass when it gets hot. I see the temp gauge creep up in stop and to go around 225ish (Scan Tool Verified) and the trans start shifting rough till restart. Best part is that is supposed to be taking this to school 400 miles away at school soon. I dont have a code reader that will pull the TCS code to verify the EPC solenoid code at this moment but it should be safe to drive at this point right? It stays happy on the freeway and crusing around town. The old trans fluid smelled old, but definitely not burnt up. It only does this when coolant temp gets up there. I try driving it like a JO and its fine until the coolant temp (and im assuming trans temp after that) Rises.
