Balls of steel to do this shit. Congrats. I’m actually watching super bikes right now on road America. Pole sitter was 2:10.6. Can you even imagine picking up 24 seconds lol. What’s the scariest/sketchiest part of the track on a bike?
I absolutely can not imagine that lol. Turns 5-6 are where the bike bounces/wiggles the most. 5 is a sharp 90* turn after a downhill 160mph straight (stopping hard while going downhill feels odd) then its uphill to t6 but levels out to flat right when you start braking. Lots and lots of rear tire bouncing and wiggling

It's interesting the gps in the video shows 164ish top speed and the lap timer itself, where the data came from, shows 167. W/e I do not care. Merging data from the AIM solo and the gopro is a pain in the ass, i'm surprised that's the only thing that doesn't match up

I was actually surprised he hung with me past the crest of that hill. I’m sure he braked a lot sooner than me for t1 though

Congrats on the new PB, that looks pretty wild!

How physically taxing is it on the course running at those speeds and manipulating your body and the bike while going around the course?

It's tiring lol, at 6' 225 lbs I'm not a small guy. My right leg and forearm are still sore today

I’m back bitches. Focusing mostly on passing, 2:37 best so far while passing a LOT of traffic and not pushing it hard. Surprisingly my best mph is already 172 today, vs 167 on my 2:34 lap in late June

I’m racing this weekend so I need to keep focusing on passing, but would like to find one clear lap to best my 2:34.

Went 2:35.0 on a dead rear tire. Getting it swapped out now

I’d like for this tire to last through the the races this weekend so I won’t run it toooo much this afternoon. Prob only do 2 sessions

MFer. Hit a false neutral coming out of t14. Hurried and got it in to gear and still managed a 2:33.7. Previous best was 2:34.3

would have been a 2:33.3 or so if I hadn’t hit that neutral

Debating doing one or two hot laps in the last session of the day to see what i can do

Yeah fuck that going for a PB at my most fatigued is a bad idea. Focus needs to be on the race and preserving tires not my ego

packin’ it up

Damn, I had no idea bikes went through tires like that. Those look soft and sticky
