Most guys take a 5cyl pan from a colorado and extend it, another way is to chop the 6cyl pan and build a sheet metal sump. Extended 5cyl pickup is used in both. Here’s some pics I stole from the group

LS was in TrailBlazer with this so I'd you had LS body side for c10 conversion with stock 4.2 engine side that might work?
Trailblazer LS mounts are kinda goofy looking to make it fit, I’ve bought a few of them to flip because most junkyards don’t realize they’re alum block and you can find them for cheap

Well, I leave in 2 weeks for the road trip back to the great white north. Engine and trans are in and mounted and they fit like they belong in there. Shifter is a few inches farther back than stock but manageable. Bench seat swapped out for some 99-02 Silverado seats and jumpseat which also fit like they were designed to be there. Stock in cab tank removed and 18 gal ‘95 f150 efi tank is going to be mounted between frame rails in the rear with basic ls swap pump/plumbing. 02 suburban driveshaft is going to need to be shortened a few inches but it’s the closest I could find in the junkyard.

Welp, wasn’t able to get it running to drive home. Ended up not being able to get some power steering conversion parts in time so I gave up and didn’t finish the fuel system either. Drove out in early may to pick it up with the trailer. 5.5 days and 4650 miles later and it’s home. Hauled a couple LS setups out there I had laying around and luckily that paid for most of my fuel. Got to stop at Petrified Forest National Park to do some sightseeing on the way home. GF was a trooper and rode along with, she drove 1 hour on the way out and 2 loaded on the way home!

I was bound and determined to get the damn thing. Side story, ended up buying a brand new 20’ 10k trailer on a Wednesday, left on that Friday at like 3am. Get to Des Moines IA and trailer starts acting fucky, first time I tap the brake rear axle shifts back and destroys fender, tire, and trailer is dog tracking about 3 feet to the passenger side of my truck. Axle U bolt broken… called and bitched at trailer company I bought it from. They got me on the line with corporate and I ended up dropping off the trailer 20 minutes away at a dealer after I took off the rear wheels so it would haul straight. Drove to Denver empty that night and they hooked me up with a 20’ 14k in Denver the next morning for no extra charge. Ironbull customer service is on point

I think you were about 10 minutes from my house in these pics.
Fuck man wish I could've helped you out!
