Hello everyone my name is Dante.

I basically joined in need of some urgent assistance. I'm in a bit of a bind with my recently purchased 1998 Dodge Ram. Unfortunately, it's running into issues with a cracked manifold, causing it to stall whenever I hit the gas pedal or shift into reverse. I've visited two different garages, but they weren't willing to tackle this particular problem.

I'm reaching out here in hopes of finding someone skilled in repairing a cracked manifold. Getting this fixed is crucial to make my car drivable again. Additionally, if anyone has experience installing a new steering pump, I could really use your expertise.

Your help or guidance would be immensely appreciated. Thank you all in advance for any advice or assistance you can offer. Wishing you all the best, and thank you for considering lending a hand.

Warm regards and blessings.

Welcome from Southern Indiana. Hope you find someone local who can can help. What's the rust situation? I'm guessing that's going to have a lot to do with all the turn downs.

Doesn't sound like somethin that should be all that terrible as long as somebody's competent. You won't have a lot of trouble finding knowledge around here at least.

I'm going to guess intake manifold if it's stalling/missing post whatever they use as an air meter (I.E. MAF, TB, etc...).

Can it be JB Welded?

I believe a magnum would likely be speed density. Pretty possible a vac leak roasted an O2 sensor and if I'm not mistaken those didn't have the best injectors in them but it's been a hot minute since I've messed with one to be a valuable source of info. I can tell you a good bit about working on a prior revision of the la engine tho
