I had some family history there today as well. ‘68 427/435 4-Speed. My dad was in the middle of restoring this exact car in 1991 when I was born. I was four years old when it got its top flight NCRS Certification and I still have the plaque from that day. I remember crawling under cars and reading numbers for the judges at 6-7 years old. This car was also owned by a lifelong friend of Alan Jackson, and they spent most of their youth cruising this thing around Georgia.

My dad sold it in the late 90’s and replaced it with a ‘68 Daytona Yellow L89 that was a bit more of a driver as far as condition goes. I was happy to see it still around today. It brought $70,000.

Just gonna use this thread because it’s so random, but my dad went to Kissimmee Mecum and bought two vehicles.

He didn’t send me any pics of the Porsche, just the link…


So random cause he’s not a Ford guy at all and said the Porsche seems like a fun winter beater for up here lol. Crazy guy.
