Can you put your stock turbo back on or was that the core for the smoker you got in there now? That's where my money is, usually if you have a bad ring/piston it will smoke on decel even without a huge pull beforehand and it won't have near perfect compression. I've seen many of my shitty turbo cars puff smoke between shifts on some 20g that came off of another POS DSM but otherwise didn't smoke at all. Got another 20g with a lot less POS and it never puffed smoke again.

SRT41320 was nice enough to allow me to swing by the shop today... Leak down test performed. Cylinders 2, 3 and 4 were flawless. Cylinder 1.... Was a college dorm room.

I'll figure out the next move but the car drives near flawless minus flat out boost, so I'm just gonna limp it for now and then use winter to do whatever.

I think about 50psi before we started hearing the gurgling 80ish was where I could make it come out the dipstick ?

Rings are tired. Motor could have just been far more unhappy last year than assumed. Is what it is. This is why I kept the back up block.
