⚡ EV ModelS Plaid sets new EV record at the Ring

That steering wheel is so fucking stupid No one will convince me otherwise.

The Nürburgring has released an official press release confirming the Model S Plaid's lap record for electric vehicles. You can read the announcement here. It confirms Andreas Simonsen as the driver. He lapped the 20.8-kilometer layout of the track in 7:35.579 minutes and hit a top speed of 279 kph (173.4 mph).

A post on social media reveals the EV sedan, in completely stock form, lapped the German track in 7 minutes and 30.909 seconds.

The car actually sounds cool. When he gets on it it sounds like jet turbines spinning up for a take off.

kinda weird how the wheel is so jerky, lots of movement going on at all times. I kinda like the wheel, likes an F1 wheel.
