Missing Notifications?

I have noticed this happening but figured I just got behind when notification volumes spike, never cared to dig in to detail. But today I had a good example. These screenshots were all taken in the last 3 mins, Carter's mention never showed up as a notification.

I had edited my post after the fact to tag you.

I think tag notifications only work when it's a fresh post.

So at the very least, I now know that editing a tag into a post does not notify the user.

If you're in a thread already, you won't get notifications. I believe if you're tagged after the fact, you won't get notified either.

Mine have been working without issue... But I'll keep an eye on it.

Yeah or you had the thread opened on a tab. Even if it's old, it considers you "viewing the thread" so it assumes you won't want to be notified about updates.

I was going to say that too, but these guys have covered it. If you're in the thread, you won't get notifications to items in that thread.

I thought the notifications are there, but the red icon just doesn't pop up if you're in the thread. You can still click the bell and see them

Yea, that's what I meant to say. I probably could've been clearer.

I came across this too, I saw someone quoted me but never got the notification but then noted I was live in the thread, so I just chalked it up to that.
